Welcome to Great Basin Miniature Schnauzers. I’m Jenny Criner, and I raise Miniature Schnauzer puppies with my family in Ely, Nevada.
My goal is simple: to raise healthy, mentally sound, confident and happy puppies and find the right home for each one.
My puppies grow up surrounded by family and the sights and sounds of life on our farm. From an early age, I begin preparing them for the everyday experiences they will encounter when they leave me and become part of their new families.
I believe a Miniature Schnauzer can bring so much to a home. My hope is that every puppy I raise becomes the kind of companion that enriches their family's life to the fullest extent.

Our puppies are raised with our family and introduced to the everyday sights, sounds, routines, and experiences of life on our Nevada farm. We use Puppy Culture principles and age-appropriate enrichment to help build confidence and adaptability from an early age.
Before go-home day, puppies are also introduced to potty and crate training, grooming, handling, and other foundations designed to make the transition into their new families a little easier.

The health of our puppies starts with the dogs we choose to breed. Our breeding dogs are health tested so we can make informed breeding decisions with the long-term health and well-being of our puppies in mind.

Every Puppy Has a Personality
Every puppy is an individual. As our puppies grow, I pay attention to their confidence, energy level, sociability, and responses to new experiences. Around seven weeks old, each puppy also completes personality testing to help families better understand their developing temperament.
This gives families more information when choosing a puppy whose personality fits their home, lifestyle, children, other pets, and experience level.
