Great Basin Miniature Schnauzers
OUR STORY
I grew up in a small town in northeastern Nevada. My family always had a dog or two and we had many pets growing up from hamsters and birds up to dogs and horses. I believe pets have an important role in the life of any human who likes them as long as they are responsible owners and have the knowledge and money to take care of them.
Now I breed and raise Miniature Schnauzers. I fell in love with the breed when my husband suggested we get our first one. He was raised with one and loved it so much that he wanted another. So, we found a little salt and pepper male that was available, and we bought him. My daughter had asthma and we couldn't have animals in the house. In my research about the breed, I read that Miniature Schnauzers were hypoallergenic, so we gave it a try. It worked and I bought another, a female this time. With their first litter of puppies, I knew this was the job I wanted.
My husband and I and our two children live on a ranch in Nevada. We have the Miniature Schnauzers for what they were bred for which is as ratters, or vermin control, and as loyal companions. All my dogs live in the house with us as part of our family and the puppies are raised by being handled and touched daily to ensure they are comfortable with humans.
There’s no better feeling than when we match one of our precious mini schnauzer puppies with a caring new owner. It’s why we put so much time, love, and effort into making sure these special animals continue to be bred.
These puppies are for sale in Nevada but we are willing to have a puppy nanny take your puppy and bring it to wherever you live in the lower 48 states. I am open to discussion about international puppy sales for those of you who may be interested.
We’ve learned a lot about the process since our first puppies were born in 2016, and have become one of the top breeders in the Great Basin area. To find out more or to reserve one of these wonderful animals, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to tell you everything you need to know.
